Lower emissions

Good news. Australia’s already reduced emissions by 20%. Since 2005.

The top third of the page is a simple computer-generated image of several trees with green foliage, against a pale blue sky.

The foliage on two of the trees forms the shape of the number ‘20’. Next to the trees are clouds that make the shape of the percentage symbol, the word ‘less’, and a downward pointing arrow. Together, the trees and clouds spell out ‘20% less’.

The bottom two thirds of the page are populated with text:

Investment and jobs

Australia’s investing in clean energy and creating thousands of new jobs. It’s win-win.

The top third of the page is a photograph of two workers in hi-vis vests and hard hats. One is a man with a beard, and one is a woman. Both workers are smiling. They are walking outdoors with a blue sky and work vehicle in the background. The man is carrying a reel of plastic piping, and the woman is carrying a large tool case. Their clothes appear to be marked by soil or some other dark substance.

Large bold yellow text on a bright blue background says:

Next to the word ‘investing’ is a white arrow pointing to small white text in a hand-written font saying: We’re creating a hydrogen industry which could create more than 8,000 jobs and billions in economic activity by 2050.

Next to the word ‘jobs’ is a white arrow pointing to small white text in a hand-written font saying: The Marinus link will deliver up to 2,800 jobs during peak construction (2015 to 2027) for regional Tasmania and Victoria.
